Acne is most common in adolescents and teenagers who may be going through puberty and hormonal issues. Some adults may experience acne.

CoolSculpting® employs a process known as Cryolipolysis. (“Cryo” = cold + “lipo” = fat cells + “lysis” = cell death and removal.) During treatment, stubborn fat deposits are subjected to controlled cooling.

The controlled cooling safely penetrates the skin. Subcutaneous fat cells begin to freeze. This ruptures the cell’s membrane. The ruptured fat cells are flagged for apoptosis –cell death and removal.

Over the passage of several weeks, the body’s immune system gathers the demolished fat cells. Frozen fat cells ultimately exit the body as waste. These fat cells cannot return or be replaced.
Stress, diet, certain cosmetic products, and environmental irritants aren’t original causes of acne, but will negatively impact the existing condition you may be facing and cause outbreaks.

Acne is a common skin condition that occurs when the pores and hair follicles of your skin become clogged from oil, dead skin cells, or bacteria. Clogged pores often result in pimples and different types of blemishes. There’s a common misconception that pimples are a stand-alone skin condition, but pimples are a symptom of acne itself.
There are many different reasons why pores can become clogged, but the most common are:

Depending on your unique skin condition, acne can be either inflammatory or non-inflammatory. The key to treating acne effectively is understanding the type(s) of acne you are experiencing.
Non-inflammatory acne includes two types of comedones:
Whiteheads are typically a little more difficult to treat than blackheads since the pores are completely closed.
Inflammatory acne occurs when pimples and other blemishes become red, swollen, and a little more severe. When acne becomes swollen and painful, bacteria under the skin is usually contributing to the condition.
There are several types of skin lesions that can be caused by inflammatory acne:
Many people experience physical discomfort and pain associated with their acne, as well as emotional distress if you are having trouble keeping outbreaks and symptoms under control. It’s important to discuss your condition with a trusted board-certified dermatologist to find out what type of acne you are experiencing and what could be causing and triggering symptoms.
Many other skin conditions often mimic acne, so determining the root cause of your condition is the first step to understand which treatment method will be right for you.
